| Biography | Professor Jen-Yao Chung, IEEE Fellow,
currently is the senior manager for Industry Technology and Solutions, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where he is responsible for identifying and creating emerging solutions with focus on "Green Computing and Business". Before that, he was Chief Technology Officer for IBM Global Electronics Industry. Before that, he was senior manager of the electronic commerce and supply chain department, and program director for the IBM Institute for Advanced Commerce Technology office.
He has been involved in research, development, and customer engagements in electronic commerce, electronic marketplaces, and Web application systems. Dr. Chung has participated in several industrial standards and workgroup including: Open buying on internet (OBI, openbuy.org), XML/EDI (xmledi-group.org), CommerceNet eCo framework (eco.commerce.net), RosettaNet.org, ebXML.org, and TPC-D. Dr. Chung has extensive experiences in the e-business innovations and engaged in several customer projects using web services technology to implement business integrations. Dr. Chung's current research is in green computing and technologies, e-marketplaces, XML and EDI, integrating existing business with the World Wide Web, and business process integration and management. Dr. Chung is co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Service Oriented Computing and Applications (published by Springer). Dr. Chung is the co-founder and co-chair of the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Electronic Commerce (TCEC). Dr. Chung co-founded IEEE International Conference on e-Commerce Technology (CEC) and IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE). He has served as general chair and program chair for many international conferences. He has authored or coauthored over 170 technical papers in published journals or conference proceedings. He was awarded an IEEE Outstanding Paper award in 1995, two IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement awards, in 1994 and 2000, an IBM Outstanding Contribution award in 1997, and five IBM Research Division awards, in 1990, 1996, 2001 and 2008. He received ICEC2002 Best paper nomination. He is also a Distinguished Engineer of ACM. |

| Biography | Dr. James (“Jim”) C. Spohrer is the director of service research at IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, CA. Spohrer is pioneering the development of the emerging field known as Service Science, which seeks to understand service systems and improve service quality, productivity, compliance and innovation. As a founding advisor of the Service Research and Innovation Initiate, he works with global universities, governments and businesses to understand future skill needs for sustainable growth of knowledge-intensive service economies. As CTO of IBM Venture Capital Group, he developed win-win relationships with emerging technology businesses across all areas of IBM’s business. Prior to joining IBM, Spohrer held the role of distinguished engineer, scientist and technologist at Apple Computer’s Advanced Technology Group, where he worked to establish Apple’s first on-line learning community and vision for the future of learning technologies. Spohrer earned a doctorate in computer science from Yale University in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science in physics from MIT in 1978. |

| Biography | Jay Lim has been in the Financial Markets trading and technology area for the last 30 years. He has worked with many global banks like Deusche Bank (Germany), Norbanken (Sweden), ABN AMRO (Dutch) and have held position in local and Asia Pacific regional roles. Jay is a Singaporean based mostly in the Regional Offices in Singapore and travel intensively to represent the voices and requirements of the Asia Pacific countries and regulatory requirements. Jay’s possesses very wide and in-depth knowledge and experiences in the Financial Markets Trading and Technology world. He held senior positions in ranging from Head of Treasury Department, Head of Treasury Sales & Marketing, Head Asia Pacific Financial Markets eCommerce to setting up and implementing Global Treasury Risk Management Systems. Jay has left ABN AMRO Bank after an eventful 15 years to be an independent Financial Markets consultant. He has consulted to the Global Markets in National Australia Bank Sydney and now with China Foreign Exchange Trading System (CFTES) working on Financial Market solutions for banks in China. |
